Amanda Kinnear is an educator, clinician, performer and guest conductor working out of the Southern Alberta area. She specializes in clarinet, bass clarinet and saxophone performance, as well as early childhood music education. She has taught students of all ages and levels, from the smallest musicians at age 2, to university level performers, to seniors learning an instrument for the first time. After completing her Bachelor of Music at the University of Victoria, she studied with notable clarinetists, Robert Spring, Eddy Vanoosthuyse, Tamara Cuypers and Jocelyn Colquhoun. She has participated in the performance of several Canadian and World premieres and continues to perform across the country. She has been an active clinician in the city of Calgary for over 10 years and has guest conducted at band workshops in the Southern Alberta area. She loves sharing her passion for music with her students and audience members alike.
