Karen Hudson received both her B.Mus. and B.Ed. degrees from the University of Lethbridge. For the last 29 years, Karen has taught for the Lethbridge School District currently teaching at the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute where she directs the choral program that consists of five choirs – the concert choir at grade 9 level, the concert choir at the grade 10-12 level, the LCI Singers, Chamber Choir and Jazz Choir. Over her tenure with the Lethbridge School District, the choral programs at the schools she has taught in have grown in both number and reputation under her guidance. As well as her responsibilities with the school district, Karen is the co-founder of the Ventus Women’s Choir and a member of the Chinook Chamber Singers.
Karen is active as a clinician and conductor throughout the province. Karen has participated in conducting master classes with well-known conductors such as Rodney Eichenberger, Jean Ashworth Bartle, Ann Howard Jones, Sir David Wilcox, Henry Leck, Geoffry Boers, Richard Nace and Graeme Langager.
